Between 3:15 p.m. and 3:45 p.m., the girl, walking home along East 63rd Street and South Langley Avenue, was accosted by an unidentified man who first hugged her, then made a disturbing proposition.
According to ABC7 Chicago, the man offered to pay for sex before attempting to pull the girl into his car. The girl managed to distance herself by walking a couple of blocks south, but the man didn't relent, reportedly grabbing her wrist and trying to force her into his vehicle. A Safe Passage worker helped the girl, and the suspect fled the scene heading eastbound on 66th Street.
The Chicago police have described the suspect, urging those who might have information to come forward: a Black male, estimated to be between 30 and 35 years old, with a dark complexion and twists hairstyle. He stands at approximately 5-foot-9, weighs around 210 pounds, and was wearing a black T-shirt and black pants at the time of the incident.
