Bath & Body Works, the retailer known for its fragrant array of body-care and home products, has opened its doors in the Lakewood Shopping Center in Margate, adjacent to Walmart at 5445 W. Atlantic Blvd. This new storefront marks yet another step away from their traditional mall locations, thereby joining a series of 13 new stores that have sprung up in more accessible off-mall areas as disclosed by Eva Boratto, Bath & Body Works CFO, in a statement to the U.S. Sun, as mentioned on the city's website.
The store, which commenced operations in June, recently celebrated its ribbon-cutting in August, an event graced by City Commissioners Joanne Simone and Anthony N. Caggiano, who expressed their wishes for the store’s success. The brand, founded in 1990 with its first outlet in Boston, has now expanded to operate roughly 1,900 stores across the U.S. and Canada, extending its global footprint further afield.
At this new location, customers can expect the same vast selection of products, ranging from scented candles and body wash to laundry detergents. Two standout fragrances are Eucalyptus Spearmint and Japanese Cherry Blossom, as Store Manager Sunem Polhamus told the U.S. Sun.
Polhamus also highlighted the convenience of the new location, stating, “Everyone loves that we’re here, closer to home.” She went on to explain that positioning the store in a plaza provides customers the ease, of picking up their favorite items while attending to their routine shopping or errands. Furthermore, Polhamus encapsulated the brand’s ethos in a simple declaration: “We make people happy through the power of fragrance,” as noted by the City of Margate.
