Boston Police Department is on the lookout for three individuals implicated in a series of financial deceit sat South Boston. Last Saturday, officers were dispatched to a Walgreens at 710 East Broadway Street following a fraud report. According to a statement obtained by Boston Police Department, the culprits conned a person under the guise of soliciting for donations, forcibly commandeered their phone and bank card, and proceeded to drain thousands of dollars from the victim’s account.
A second victim reported an analogous deceit at the Whole Foods parking lot on Harrison Avenue, where the suspects, claiming to collect donations, swindled the victim’s phone and credit card to execute fraudulent transactions. They then departed in the gray sedan. Witnesses have described the suspects as three Black males between the ages of 30 to 40, one sporting a distinguishing “RED” tattoo above an eyebrow.
