A Boynton Beach man has tragically lost his life in a solo car accident according to statements from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. Samuel Benjamin, aged 45, was the sole victim in a deadly event that transformed a routine drive into a scene of devastation on Jog Road.
As reported by CBS12, Benjamin's vehicle, for reasons yet to fully be unravelled, failed to remain under control, ventured off the roadway, and severely collided with a tree. The accident took place on northbound Jog Road, just south of Gateway Blvd. Deputies were quick to arrive at the site of the crash, but were unable to undo the irreparable; Benjamin was pronounced dead at the scene, the disrupted remnants of his car and the scarred tree marking the point where a life was abruptly cut short.
The details of the incident which occurred Monday morning have been shared by CBS12. The accounts reveal that Benjamin was behind the wheel of an Infiniti FX35 when he, for reasons not immediately discernible, lost command of the vehicle, which resulted in its fateful impact with the tree at approximately 11:19 a.m.
In a statement obtained by BocaNewsNow, officials have reported there were no other vehicles involved in the incident. The aftermath of the collision saw Benjamin's vehicle come to an unsettled rest facing north in the northbound travel lanes, with emergency services promptly arriving to only confirm the solemn outcome. The authorities have yet to release further specifics surrounding the cause and potential contributing factors that led Benjamin to tragically quickly lose control of his vehicle.
