Utah's official athletics website has just announced that the Utah football team will play an away game against West Virginia at 1:30 p.m. MT on September 27. The afternoon matchup, which will fire up at Milan Puskar Stadium, certainly isn't the first rodeo for these two teams, but it’s the first in eight years.
The upcoming game is catching eyes for good reason; it's only the third time Utah and West Virginia have faced each other on the gridiron. According to UtahUtes.com, the Utes lead with a clean 2-0 record against the Mountaineers. They last clashed in the Heart of Dallas Bowl back in 2017, where Utah came out on top with a comfortable 30-14 victory. Memories of their first meeting might be black and white, as it dates back to a 32-6 win for Utah on December 19, 1964.
For those who can't get enough of behind-the-scenes action and pre-game hype, Utah's sports information suggests a full dive into their social media ecosystem. Fans are encouraged to follow the Utes' journey to West Virginia through Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. Additionally, for those who always need more Utes in their lives, you can download the Utah 360 app, presumably for all-access coverage leading up to and during game day.
