Deerfield Beach residents are encouraged to save the date for a key environmental event happening next month. The City of Deerfield Beach has announced it will be hosting a Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) collection on Saturday, October 4. The collection is set to take place at the Bernard Adams Municipal Complex, located at 401 SW 4th Street, according to the City of Deerfield Beach.
The event runs from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., giving residents the chance to drop off hazardous household materials for safe and responsible disposal. Designed to protect both the environment and public health, the program ensures that waste that should not go in the regular trash is properly handled. Participants must provide proof of residency, such as a photo ID or a recent utility bill. The event is open exclusively to Deerfield Beach residents, with no business, school, or government waste accepted.
Residents can also bring their recycling during the event, creating a convenient one-stop opportunity to reduce their environmental footprint.
