
Early Saturday morning, the Denver Police Department launched an investigation into a fatal shooting that took the life of one individual in the Green Valley Ranch area, a residential district located on the city's northeastern border. According to 9News, officers responded to the 18000 block of East 50th Place after receiving reports of the incident.
At approximately 1:30 a.m., police officers found the victim, although details about their identity have not been disclosed and the circumstances leading up to the shooting remain unclear, the Denver Police Department posted on social media at 1:48 a.m. that they were looking into the shooting where the victim was discovered but, they did not share additional details about the shooting or the victim just yet. The Denver Post further mentions that police spokesperson Teresa Gessner confirmed the time and location of the occurrence.
There have been no arrests made in connection with the crime, and as of now, suspect information has not been circulated publicly. The victim was transported to a local hospital but unfortunately succumbed to their wounds and was later pronounced dead, as reported by Denver7. Authorities are working diligently to gather more information and develop leads that could help identify the suspect.
