
An elderly woman was found dead in Miami Gardens yesterday, in what authorities indicate was a dog attack. Miami Gardens Police and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue crews responded to reports of an unresponsive woman around 7:30 a.m. near Northwest 14th Court and Northwest 196th Terrace, adjacent to the Hard Rock Stadium, according to NBC Miami.
Upon arrival, they found the woman with multiple injuries consistent with dog bites. The victim, described as an elderly black woman, was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity has not yet been made public. The precise circumstances of the woman's presence in the area were not immediately clear; it is uncertain if she lived locally or was merely passing through.
The investigation has additionally been informed by reports from WSVN, which noted that significant blood was found in a nearby field, near where the woman lay next to a trailer. The police have not yet located the dogs or their owner, and the search for those responsible for the animals continues.
