The Chicago Police Department, in collaboration with the U.S. Marshals Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force, announced the arrest of Osceola Little in connection with the murder of a 33-year-old male in August of last year. According to the official release, Little, a 39-year-old resident of the 500 block of W. Hudson Bluff in Elgin, Illinois, is facing a felony charge for first-degree murder.
Details of the crime emerged after Little's apprehension on September 3, 2025, in Crest Hill, Illinois; he was identified as the individual who fatally shot the unnamed 33-year-old man on August 19, 2024, police have said the incident occurred in the 4800 block of W. West End Ave. in Chicago's 15th District, the circumstances leading up to the shooting have not been disclosed but with a warrant issued, Little is now in custody awaiting his detention hearing.
The hearing has been scheduled for today, at the court located at 2600 S. California. Chicago Police Department's news release on September 5th confirmed Little's charges but provided no additional information regarding the case or any possible motive behind the murder.
