Commuters and residents are advised that Hypoluxo Road will be closed. Travelers should seek alternate routes. From Wednesday, Sept. 17, through Saturday, Sept. 20, a stretch of Hypoluxo Road about 115 feet west of Federal Highway will be off-limits. This is due to essential maintenance carried out by the Florida East Coast (FEC) Railway. Detours will be set up to redirect traffic via N. Seacrest Boulevard, E. Gateway Boulevard, Lantana Road, S. Congress Avenue, and Federal Highway (US-1), as per the county's official website.
The Engineering and Public Works (EPW) department is asking the public to bear with the disruption. "EPW appreciates the community’s patience and understanding during this temporary inconvenience," said an official notice released on their website. They're aiming to significantly enhance not just the safety but also the efficiency of the County’s infrastructure with this maintenance work.
For the latest project updates or more information, visit the EPW website at pbc.gov/epw. Press inquiries can be directed to Lady Hereford, EPW Public Information Services Manager, at (561) 684-4044 or [email protected]. Commuters are advised to keep an eye out for any changes to the detour routes or other modifications they might need to make in their day-to-day travel.
