The construction, confined to the north shoulder of SW 5th Place, promises minimal disruption in the neighborhood stretches between SW 18th Avenue and SW 19th Terrace, it's slated for completion within the same week of its initiation, with crews working from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays, although this schedule is subject to shifts due to weather or unforeseen conditions, as stated on the city's news release.
City officials say construction in the area will not affect neighborhood traffic. They thanked residents for their patience and said the project’s main goal is to improve public safety.
