A spate of gun violence rocked San Francisco's Burke Avenue yesterday, leaving four individuals with gunshot wounds. The incident, which took place around 5:48 PM, initially brought officers to the 1500 block of Burke Avenue after reports of the shooting surfaced, according to the San Francisco Police Department.

Upon arrival, San Francisco Police found one victim wounded by gunfire, promptly administering aid before medics arrived and whisked them off to Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital with injuries deemed not life-threatening. While at the scene, police discovered that three other victims had also suffered gunshot wounds and had self-transported to the same hospital before the officers' arrival.
The narrative took another troubling turn when, less than an hour later, outside Zuckerberg Hospital, gunshots broke the temporary calm, leading to the swift arrest of a suspect by the SFPD, as reported by KTVU. However, the police have yet to confirm a connection between this individual and the earlier Burke Avenue shooting.
In the meantime, the investigation into the Burke Avenue shooting is in full motion. San Francisco Police are urging anyone with information to contact them at 415-575-4444 or text a tip to TIP411 beginning with the message 'SFPD'.
