A Gallatin woman has been arrested and is facing charges of felony reckless endangerment after shots were fired at the Davidson County Sheriff's Office on New Year's Day. Reports indicate that a gray Dodge Charger, from which the gunfire came, was spotted by a Madison Precinct patrol officer and traced back to 26-year-old Tonisha Harris, as detailed by Nashville.gov.

Following up on the description, officers located the Charger on Creekwood Drive. Harris, when initially contacted in January, had claimed not to remember the details of that morning, but was certain she neither fired a weapon nor drove the Charger. Yet, the firearm found within the vehicle was to later match the shell casing recovered at the scene, tying the incident back to her.

Investigations also revealed that Harris's cell phone data placed her in the vicinity of the Davidson County Sheriff's Office at the approximate time the shot was fired. According to Nashville.gov, the incriminating data demonstrated Harris's presence in the area around 2:20 a.m. on the day in question. This evidence contributed to the issuance of a warrant for her arrest.

Harris was eventually arrested in Clarksville and was booked in Nashville after being apprehended on an outstanding warrant. During an interview with detectives, she reportedly admitted to firing a shot; Harris claimed that the act was a product of intoxication and New Year's celebration, believing her shot was but lost up in the air. Her bond was set at $10,000.
