Hialeah Police are on the hunt for Fletcher Jimeson, a 47-year-old man accused of fatally shooting another man during a verbal dispute in a parking lot at 2265 West 4th Court last Wednesday. After the altercation, which occurred around 12:40 p.m., Jimeson allegedly produced a gun, discharging it and striking the unnamed man, who was later transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center, but unfortunately, he did not survive his injuries, as WSVN reported.
Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding his whereabouts to come forward. Jimeson is considered "armed and dangerous." This is emphasized by the Hialeah Police, and the fact that he pulled out a gun during an argument and committed an act that led to the loss of life underscores the threat he poses if he remains at large. To encourage public involvement, Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for tips that lead to the apprehension of the suspect, ensuring that individuals can report anonymously, hoping this provision can yield crucial leads in the case, as detailed by NBC Miami.
A photograph of Jimeson was circulated by police on Monday, in an initiative to aid the public in recognizing the accused shooter. The victim, whose identity has been withheld, met a tragic fate following what began as a verbal clash, only to escalate to lethal violence. The Hialeah Police Department can be reached at 305-687-2525 for any information that could assist in capturing Jimeson; alternatively, anonymous tips can be submitted to Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers by calling 305-471-TIPS.
