
Authorities in Alexander County have arrested 21-year-old Kayne Lavance Alford-Bruce of Hickory, NC, in connection with multiple alleged vehicle break-ins. According to the Alexander County Sheriff’s Office's Facebook post, Alford-Bruce faces 31 charges, including 17 counts of Breaking and Entering to a Motor Vehicle and related larceny offenses.
The investigation began after a citizen reported a suspicious individual on their property on Friday last week. Deputies located and arrested Alford-Bruce in the Wittenburg Springs Development.
Alford-Bruce is being held at the Alexander County Detention Center under a $350,000 secured bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for tomorrow. Authorities said the investigation is ongoing and may involve additional individuals and charges.
The incidents reportedly span multiple jurisdictions, including Caldwell, Burke, and Catawba counties, as well as the City of Hickory and Town of Longview. Officials are asking anyone with information to contact law enforcement.
