
In the early hours of August 29, Horizon City Police conducted a routine check on a vehicle that was found to be parked illegally in the 14000 block of Kingston. The car's lone occupant, identified as Shemar Daquan Lowery, was present when officers noticed drug paraphernalia in the vehicle. This observation led to a search that culminated in the discovery of 2 grams of a crystalized substance, which later tested positive for methamphetamine, as per the Horizon City Police Department.
Lowery was arrested without incident and was subsequently booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility. The charge filed against him was Possession of a Controlled Substance PG1, 1–4 grams. His bond has been set at $2,500 PR. This incident, a seemingly routine encounter in the suburban stretches of Horizon City, underscores the ongoing vigilance of local law enforcement in the face of narcotics activity.
