
This morning, deputies from the Imperial Beach Sheriff's Substation were dispatched to a disturbance on the 600 block of Seventh Street. Upon arriving at the scene around 1:25 AM, they found an adult male victim with serious injuries, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Office. Efforts to save the man's life were undertaken, with deputies starting CPR before paramedics took over, but the man ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
The identity of the deceased has not yet been disclosed, waiting for confirmation and to notify his family properly. As detectives aim to scrupulously gather evidence and piece together the events of that night, the community is left to grapple with the chilling reality that close to home, a life was precipitously cut short. Authorities suggest that this homicide appears to be isolated, assuring the public that they should not fear for their safety.
