Officers from the Lebanon Police Department encountered more than they bargained for during a routine shoplifting investigation at a local Walmart. On an operation that quickly spiraled into a narcotics bust, a 37-year-old woman, initially suspected of petty theft, was found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine last Thursday.
According to an official social media post by the Lebanon PD, their A-Shift officers were investigating a potential shoplifting incident when they made contact with the said female. Upon a closer examination, it was unveiled that the woman not only had illicit substances but also was barred from Walmarts nationwide—a trespassing fact the authorities soon uncovered.

The suspect was taken into custody without resistance and is now facing multiple charges, including theft of merchandise, criminal trespass, and manufacturing, delivering, selling, or possessing methamphetamine. "Yesterday, while investigating possible shoplifting at Walmart, A-Shift officers made contact with a female believed to have shoplifted items from the store," the Lebanon Police Department stated, detailing the sequence of events that led to the arrest.
