Nashville's local stage has recently seen an infusion of academic talent as Lipscomb University's theatre community lends its prowess to the Nashville Shakespeare Festival's production of 'The Merry Wives of Windsor'. According to Lipscomb University's recent article, the production, performed at The Yard at ONEC1TY, showcases a notable lineup that includes faculty, staff, students, and alumni. Beki Baker, director of Lipscomb’s School of Theatre and Cinematic Arts, heads the project, curating a team that brings the classic comedy to vibrant life. With the production wrapping up on September 21, attendees can catch the remaining shows on Thursdays through Sundays.
Theatre aficionados have hailed the festival's portrayal of 'The Merry Wives of Windsor' to be a standout performance. Taking place in August with the opening night on the 21st, the play has garnered praise, highlighted by 'The Nashville Scene' for its lively humor and interactive staging.
