Early this morning, a man lost his life to gun violence in Belle Glade, where Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office confirmed that detectives are conducting a thorough investigation into the incident that took them to NW 8th Street after a ShotSpotter alert; despite first responders' efforts to save his life, the man was pronounced dead at the scene, as reported by CBS12.
It's noted that deputies and Palm Beach County Fire Rescue personnel rushed to the 100 block of Northwest 8th Street following the alert, only to find the victim with multiple gunshot wounds and despite the rapid life-saving efforts, he succumbed to his injuries, The incident, which shattered the early morning calm, is still shrouded in mystery as a search for a motive and suspect continues with officials pressing the public for any leads, said the Boca Raton Tribune.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office has handed the case over to their Violent Crimes Division, and they are currently piecing together the circumstances that led to the shooting, while the identity of the man has not been released authorities are asking anyone with relevant information to step forward and offer assistance in the investigation.
