A collision involving a Flagstaff police officer left one man dead and the officer hospitalized last Saturday morning. FOX 10 Phoenix reported the crash occurred around 7:30 a.m. on East Butler Avenue near the Sinagua Heights intersection.
Despite life-saving efforts, the male driver of the second vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. According to abc15, the officer was taken to Flagstaff Medical Center for emergency treatment and remains there receiving care.
The names of those involved have not been released. The Arizona Department of Public Safety is leading the crash investigation with support from the Flagstaff Police Department’s Professional Standards Unit, which is conducting an internal review.
