Comic book fans and aspiring artists will have the chance to see Marvel illustrator Jerry DeCaire in action as he brings his live drawing performances to the Palm Beach County Library System. Known for his work on iconic characters such as Wolverine and Deadpool, DeCaire will showcase his creative process and artistic techniques during the event, as per the county's announcement.
DeCaire's beginnings trace back to the halcyon days of 1991, when he cut his teeth on "X-Men Annual #15," a stepping stone that led him through a labyrinth of Marvel hits, including the broody Wolverine and the irreverent Deadpool. His recent work graced the pages of 2024's "X-Men: X-Tinction Agenda (Omnibus)," showing he hasn't lost his knack for bringing depth and excitement to the paneled page. Known for bridging the gap between the superhuman and the scientific, DeCaire presents, "The Superhero in Real-Time," not just drawing comic panels but weaving in the fundamentals of science and math into his art, first showcased at conventions like Wizard World and Dragon Con, as detailed by the Palm Beach County.
