According to NBC Miami, the region may expect to see some drier air moving in later this weekend or early next week, providing a respite from the wetter afternoons.
While mornings have remained mostly clear, after 2 pm, there's about a 50% chance to quickly see showers and thunderstorms popping up, with precipitation amounts generally staying below a tenth of an inch except in more intense thunderstorms, as detailed by forecasts from the National Weather Service. Evenings tend to calm down, with a 30% chance of rain before the late hours set in.
The tropics are keeping meteorologists busy; three systems are noted active - Gabrielle and two other tropical waves are currently stirring the waters. Gabrielle is positioned well east of Bermuda and is moving further away. Alternatively, the two tropical waves are closer, one over the northeastern Caribbean and another approximately 700 miles east of the Leeward Islands. However, none of these systems are anticipated to impact South Florida directly, as per the NBC Miami report.
Over the next few days, expect to consistently see highs near 90 degrees Fahrenheit with mostly sunny mornings giving way to potential scattered storms in the afternoons. Chances of rain hover at around 50% into the weekend.
