Get ready to raise your glasses, Wheaton residents, because Montgomery County's Alcohol Beverage Services (ABS) is preparing to bring a new flavor to your local shopping experience. Coming this Thursday, at 9:45 a.m., the ABS will unveil its latest Oak Barrel & Vine store, conveniently located near the Costco at Westfield Wheaton mall. For residents looking to enhance their personal collections or simply enjoy a quality drink, this store promises a diverse selection and solid service, according to Montgomery County.
According to Montgomery County, during the grand opening event, expect to see not just eager locals but also elected officials and figures from within the alcohol industry, preparing to cut the ribbon and christen the new establishment. While the community readies to browse through the aisles teeming with spirits and fine wines, ABS takes the opportunity to reinforce its economic cornerstone within Montgomery. "Openings of Oak Barrel & Vine stores across our County have been well received, and the residents of Wheaton are going to be equally pleased with the selection, value, and service at this new location," County Executive Marc Elrich enthusiastically marked in a statement. ABS has been known for generating significant income for the county, topping over $35 million net annually, funds that are directed back into community services and development.
The Wheaton store isn't coming empty-handed. Seven rare and sought-after spirits are getting lined up, up for grabs exclusively at this venue. Bourbon enthusiasts, take note; a selection including Willett Family Estate bourbons, Elijah Craig 18YR Bourbon, and Double Eagle Very Rare Bourbon, among others, will be there for the taking. These bottles will be available once doors swing open at 10 a.m., served up on a first-come, first-served basis. ABS has imposed a one-bottle limit per customer for these exclusive items to ensure broad access, except for Buffalo Trace Bourbon, which enjoys no such purchase restriction.
