
A local teenager sustained injuries in a motorcycle crash this past Wednesday afternoon in Motley Township, according to the Morrison County Sheriff's Office. The incident, which involved 19-year-old Brian Vorbeck of Motley, MN, took place on Azalea Road, roughly a mile south of the town proper and east of Highway 10.
In a report released by the Morrison County Sheriff's Office, Vorbeck was navigating westward when his motorcycle careened off the road as two dogs appeared suddenly, causing him to lose control. The accident was reported to the authorities at approximately 4:24 pm on September 23rd. Fortunately, Vorbeck was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
Vorbeck's injuries were not specified by the law enforcement officials, but he was promptly taken to Lakewood Hospital in Staples by family members. The nature and severity his injuries have not been made public as of the last report.
The Morrison County Sheriff's Office was assisted at the scene by the Motley Police Department. As of now, there has been no further information regarding the status of the dogs involved or additional details of the crash.
