In a notable show of force against crime, the Mt. Juliet Police Department has reported significant success in apprehending individuals on their wanted list. According to the Mt. Juliet Police Department, officers arrested 574 wanted individuals in 2025. This figure represents a 22% increase from the previous year and a striking 67% increase from 2022. The majority of these arrests—90% to be precise—were not of Mt. Juliet residents, indicating the department's effectiveness in curbing the ingress of crime from surrounding areas.

What’s even more telling? 518 of those individuals—90%—were not Mt. Juliet residents. These suspects entered our city… pic.twitter.com/pRWPQVaGh5
These statistics underscore Mt. Juliet's efforts to differentiate itself from neighboring communities, where longer response times and higher crime rates are more common, not because of a lack of effort but often due to scant resources and support. In stark contrast, Mt. Juliet takes pride in its rapid response, high visibility, and proactive policing, which have fostered one of the safest cities in Tennessee. A part of this tactical approach includes the use of License Plate Reader cameras, among other advanced tools.
The proactive measures by the MJPD reflect the broader community's stance on public safety—an ethos deeply rooted in mutual trust and support between law enforcement and residents. It is no coincidence that the department sees such high levels of community backing, especially considering the city's prioritization of police visibility and preemptive action to prevent crime from seeping through its seams.
