Mourners gathered in Phoenix and Arlington Heights to pay respects to Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, following his passing. In Phoenix, supporters left American flags and handwritten notes near the organization’s headquarters. Ty Smith told FOX 10 Phoenix, "Charlie Kirk is an amazing person, he really touched a lot of people's hearts worldwide," while Weston Olewiler highlighted his commitment to free speech.
In Arlington Heights, memorials were held at Lakewood Chapel. Jonathan Luers told abc7 Chicago, "I think it's important that we honor the memory of Charlie Kirk." During the service, Erika Kirk paid tribute to her late husband, saying, "He knew exactly what he was doing He was going to change the world, and he did." Former President Donald Trump also remembered Kirk, noting his patriotic spirit.
Kirk’s legacy continues through Turning Point USA, which he founded at age 18. Following his death, Erika Kirk has assumed the role of CEO to lead the organization forward.
