The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT), along with local Murfreesboro officials, has officially opened the new Murfreesboro Transit Center, located at 324 New Salem Highway. A recent social media post from myTDOT confirmed that the doors would swing wide to the public on September 8.
The funding framework for this project reveals a mix of support, with a predominantly state-led initiative supplemented by federal and local dollars. "TDOT provided $9 million for the project through IMPROVE Act funds, along with $5 million in federal dollars and $2.8 million in local matching dollars, to fund the facility," myTDOT stated.
