In an unforeseen turn of events, the district aligned with recommendations from law enforcement, nudging students out of their classrooms and, due to the approaching tail end of the school day, sending them home early. "To reiterate, the evacuation was implemented as a precautionary measure at the direction of law enforcement to ensure student safety," the Granite School District explained in a news dispatch, as detailed by KSLTV.
