
Early Thursday morning, a bar in Portland's Montavilla neighborhood became the scene of a fatal shooting. At around 2:10 a.m., police were called to a bar on the 8200 block of Southeast Harrison Street. There, they discovered an adult male deceased in the parking lot. Another male, also injured in the incident, was transported to a local hospital with injuries that were reported as non-life-threatening, according to Portland Police's official statement.
Following the incident, one adult male was detained at the scene by law enforcement officials. The police have indicated that no suspects are being sought at this time. The incident has invited detectives from the Portland Police Homicide Unit to take charge of the investigation, which led to the partial closure of Southeast Harrison Street, along with one northbound lane of Southeast 82nd Avenue.
