An 18-year-old from Ontario has been taken into custody by the Chino Police Department for alleged reckless driving, following an episode caught by street cameras, executing stunts with a white pickup truck. According to KTLA, multiple callers notified the police of the vehicle performing donuts near Riverside Drive and Fern Avenue over the weekend.
The Chino Police swiftly tracked down the truck as it was making an attempt to leave the scene, aided by residents who confirmed seeing the vehicle involved in the stunt. Notably, "Officers quickly located the truck as it attempted to leave the area. Thanks to alert community members who flagged them down, officers confirmed it was the vehicle involved," as per the City of Chino Police Department Facebook post. The implicated driver was apprehended and subsequently arrested without incident, and now faces charges of reckless driving and vandalism.
In acknowledging the role of the community in the efficient response to the dangerous behavior, the City of Chino Police Department expressed its gratitude towards the vigilant residents, stating, "We thank the residents who called in and assisted officers. Together, we’re keeping our streets safe and our roadways free from damage."
