The events leading up to Metelus's arrest involve an alleged sexual encounter that occurred after the victim, a young girl whose age was not disclosed but is cited as being between 12 and 16, left her home following an augument with her mother and contacted Metelus. She then used an Uber to travel to Loggerhead Beach where Metelus picked her up, they spent time at the beach and later relocated to his residence, here a kiss they shared escalated into acts the girl described as unwelcome and pressured, although she reportedly stated that he did not force her to do anything, according to her statement in the arrest affidavit detailed by WPBF.
Further details from the investigation reveal that the girl's mother was unaware of her daughter's acquaintance with Metelus and only learned about the incident when her daughter reported it to law enforcement.
