A shooting incident in Pembroke Pines this morning has led to the hospitalization of one individual and the arrest of a suspected shooter, according to law enforcement officials. NBC Miami reported that Pembroke Pines Police responded swiftly to the vicinity of Northwest 78th Terrace and Northwest 3rd Street following reports of gunfire.
The police found a victim wounded at the scene who was subsequently transported to a hospital, while the identified suspect was apprehended after an attempt to flee, their identities have not been disclosed by officials who also stated that there appears to be no other suspects involved in the incident. Following the shooting, an aerial view captured by Chopper 6 showed a considerable number of law enforcement operatives securing the perimeter of an apartment complex, with an area cordoned off with yellow police tape and an investigator setting evidence markers near a silver vehicle.
Meanwhile, Local 10 disclosed that the altercation occurred just before 11 a.m. and further emphasized that residents were advised to steer clear from the area as the ongoing investigation unfolds.
