
A hit-and-run incident that claimed the life of a pedestrian last night in Portland's Bridgeton neighborhood is currently being investigated. According to the Portland Police Bureau, the collision was reported at approximately 10:40 p.m. on North Marine Drive near North Anchor Way. Upon arrival, officers discovered an adult female pedestrian who had been fatally struck by a vehicle whose driver had fled the scene.
The Portland Police Traffic Division's Major Crash Team (MCT) was promptly deployed to take over the investigation. Due to their work, North Marine Drive was completely closed off between North Vancouver Way and North Gantenbein Avenue. While the investigation continues to actively unfold, authorities are urging anyone with information about the crash to swiftly come forward.
