In a recent update that has brought relief to concerned family members and the community alike, 66-year-old Mary Eileen Stebleton has been found safe, prompting the cancellation of the previously issued Silver Alert. The Salt Lake City Police Department shared the good news through a social media post, announcing the termination of the widespread search that began after Stebleton missed a crucial connecting flight.
The initial alert put out by the Salt Lake City Police Department detailed Mary's disappearance after she left Salt Lake International Airport. She was last seen getting into an older black SUV heading eastbound on North Temple St., having been last spotted around 1480 West North Temple St. on Saturday, at approximately 10:19 a.m., according to the original police post.
Mary, described as approximately 5'4" in height, weighing 145 pounds with blonde hair and brown eyes, was last seen wearing a distinctive black dress and a black hat adorned with flowers and horseshoe imagery, details of which were widely circulated in hopes of a member of the public recognizing her and providing information leading to her safe return.
