San Francisco Police Department officers were dispatched to the 800 block of Brannan Street last Saturday night, after receiving calls about a physical altercation. According to the SFPD's official news release, the incident occurred at roughly 11:13 p.m. and resulted in one man lying unresponsive on the pavement.
Upon arrival at the scene, the officers found and immediately attempted to aid the adult male. Shortly after their arrival, paramedics pronounced the man deceased, and the case was promptly escalated. The Medical Examiner Investigators deemed the death suspicious in nature, prompting the SFPD Homicide Detail to seize the reins of the investigation.
The department has not made any arrests thus far, and they are calling on the public for help. Individuals with any relevant knowledge are encouraged to come forward. "Anyone with information is asked to contact the SFPD at 1-415-575-4444 or Text-A-Tip to TIP411 and begin the message with SFPD," the news release stated.
