Music lovers and community members in South Florida are gearing up to celebrate the grand re-opening of the Sunrise Amphitheater. The reimagined open-air venue starts its new chapter with a free event scheduled for Saturday, October 4, from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at 10770 West Oakland Park Boulevard. According to the City of Sunrise website, the festivities promise to be a lively event, open to all ages.

To officially commence the celebration, a ribbon-cutting ceremony is slated for 6:00 p.m. Following the ceremony, the evening aims to carry on with a blend of live music, food, and family fun. The night is set to feature a stage performance by Gypsy Lane Band, encouraging attendees to dance and make memories under the open sky.

The city promises generous offerings for the event’s early arrivals. The first 700 guests will receive a free lawn blanket, and all can enjoy complimentary popcorn and snow cones while supplies last. Another highlight of the night will be a free drone show, set to light up the sky above the Amphitheater, as per the city's official announcement.

A variety of food truck options are also expected to be on site, showcasing a diverse range of cuisines to choose from. With such a mix, guests have the chance to truly savor the flavors of South Florida as they mingle and celebrate. In addition to the main event, the city has announced that more news will soon follow about the upcoming 2025-26 season for the Tunes 'N Trucks concert series.
