A confrontation at a South Loop Jewel-Osco escalated into violence late Tuesday night, resulting in a 17-year-old girl being shot in the thigh. Police responded to the incident, which occurred outside the grocery store located at 1224 S. Wabash Ave around 10:30 p.m., according to a report by the Chicago Sun-Times.
Following the altercation, the teen received immediate medical attention with officers applying two tourniquets before paramedics arrived. She was then transported to Northwestern Memorial Hospital and listed in good condition.
