
Last Tuesday in Concord, a shooting incident left three men with gunshot wounds, which led to the arrest of two suspects shortly thereafter. The victims arrived at John Muir Hospital around 10:20 PM, following the incident that occurred in a parking garage on the 2000 block of Salvio Street. Descriptions of the suspects and their vehicle were promptly developed and disseminated to local law enforcement agencies, according to details released by the Concord Police Department's social media post.
The Contra Costa County Sheriff's Deputies located the suspect vehicle in Bay Point, where they detained two occupants without incident, based on the details from the incident, Hoodline reported. Further, a third suspect was apprehended last Wednesday as part of the ongoing investigation, during which evidence related to the shooting was uncovered.
As a result, the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office has now filed charges related to the shooting. The named individuals facing charges are Justino Lopez-Perez, a 31-year-old Bay Point resident, and Erickson Melendez, a 23-year-old from Concord; Lopez-Perez has been charged with attempted murder, conspiracy, discharging a firearm from a vehicle, assault with a firearm, and use of firearm enhancements, while Melendez faces conspiracy and discharging a firearm from a vehicle charges.
