
On Thursday afternoon, two vehicles were involved in a collision on 93rd Street, near the vicinity of Partridge Road in Morrison County, according to a report by the local Sheriff's Office. The incident, which occurred just three miles east of Buckman, MN, resulted in both drivers being transported to the hospital for their injuries.
Mellissa Shackleton, a 46-year-old Borup resident, was traveling eastbound on 93rd Street when suddenly, Heidi Kahlhamer, 39, from Little Falls, attempted to pull out of a driveway onto the same road to head westbound. It was then that Shackleton's vehicle collided with Kahlhamer’s, striking it on the driver's side. Both Shackleton and Kahlhamer were subsequently taken by Mayo Clinic Ambulance to St. Gabriel’s Hospital. The extent of their injuries was undisclosed.
The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office disclosed that the crash site was attended by multiple emergency response teams, including the Pierz Fire Department, Pierz First Response Team, and the Mayo Clinic Ambulance service. This cooperative effort underscored the community's responsive nature when it came to road emergencies.
Authorities have not released further details about the cause of the crash or potential contributing factors. The accident remains under investigation by the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office.
