
Two individuals experienced a serious accident in Weston today, after plummeting from the rooftop into an empty swimming pool at a residential property, officials reported. The Broward Sheriff's Office Fire Rescue units responded to the scene at a house in the 4100 block of Boston Court, which lies just north of Griffin Road and west of Interstate 75.
A witness described the chaotic scene with "a large amount of blood" visible in the bottom of the pool. Footage from the incident captured by Chopper 6 also indicated that some form of work might have been taking place on the roof at the time of the fall, authorities are still investigating whether the victims were workers on the job or residents of the home, as reported by NBC Miami.
Following the fall, first responders transported the injured parties to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood. The extent of their injuries warranted trauma alerts; one was airlifted while the other was taken by ground transportation. According to Local 10, the rescue operation took place around 1:40 p.m. yet, the identities and current conditions of the individuals have not been made public.
As the Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue sifts through the details to piece together the events that led to this accident, there is an active effort to clarify the status of the two individuals involved, were they residents, or perhaps contractors tasked with maintenance or construction at the site remains uncertain.
