
The New York Police Department reports that an assault in the Bronx has triggered an urgent search for a suspect. The incident took place yesterday at around 5:00 a.m. near East Gun Hill Road and Putnam Place. According to the NYPD's Crimestoppers social media post, a 36-year-old woman fell victim to a vicious attack when an unidentified man reportedly grabbed her by the neck, sexually assaulted her, and robbed her of her belongings, including an unspecified sum of cash.
The NYPD has released a description of the suspect following the crime in the 52nd Precinct; he is described as a male with a dark complexion. During the last sighting, the suspect was dressed in black pants, a black jacket, and white sneakers before fleeing the scene on foot in an easterly direction along Gun Hill Road.
