Utah State University is set to honor its faculty and staff with the annual Employee Appreciation Day event scheduled for Oct. 3 at Logan's Maverik Stadium, according to an announcement on the university's website. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., USU employees across various campuses are invited to partake in an array of activities and enjoy a selection of food to celebrate their contributions to the university.
At the Logan campus, attendees can look forward to enjoying pulled pork sandwiches, Aggie Ice Cream, and a variety of field activities designed to bolster camaraderie and a bit of competition among colleagues. Not limited to Logan, the university has arranged for statewide events, aiming to include workers from all corners of the Utah State University system. For entrance to the event, employees are reminded to bring their USU ID card, according to USU Today.
The office of Human Resources at USU, along with other departments and sponsorship partners, has coordinated this event to offer "some food, fun, and recognition for all you do for USU and our students," as per USU Today. Activities at the Logan event range from a flu shot clinic to tours of the Utah State Athletics’ West Stadium Center, providing an inside look at the athletic facilities.
Statewide celebrations vary, promising a mix of lunches, games, and even a movie screening for those in the Wasatch Region. Uintah Basin employees can enjoy a day of softball and other games on Oct. 10, while the Southwest region boasts a Halloween-themed luncheon on multiple dates in Cedar City and Nephi. In Tooele, the appreciation continues with a BBQ lunch and a screening of 'Superman' slated for Oct. 1. All of these events, as reported by USU Today, contribute to the larger tapestry of gratitude extended to the employees who fulfill USU's mission daily.
