The City of West Palm Beach is basking in the glow of recognition following an impressive haul of 20 awards from the Florida Festivals & Events Association (FFEA). The FFEA's annual Sunsational Awards celebrated West Palm Beach's community events, recognizing their innovation and collaborative spirit in event programming and marketing efforts.

Amongst the accolades, West Palm Beach took home eight first-place awards, eight second-place, and four third-place awards, showcasing an array of annual and seasonal events that stood out in a field of over 600 submissions. "Our city’s success at the Florida Festivals & Events Association Sunsational Awards truly reflects the dedication and passion of our community events team," Mayor Keith A. James told WPB.org. Events like 4th on Flagler, Clematis by Fright, and the West Palm Beach GreenMarket were among those recognized.

At the forefront of these accolades is the West Palm Beach Community Events Division, led by Marketing and Community Events Manager Angela Poco. The division's approach to curating experiences shined through, particularly with the newer Vintage Vibes event, which earned a second place for Multi-Agency Collaborative Program in partnership with the Downtown Development Authority. "It’s a privilege to work alongside a team whose hard work and dedication shine through in every event we create," Poco stated as reported by WPB.org.

A list of specific awards included first-place wins for the GreenMarket on Facebook and Holiday in Paradise for installations, tickets & invitations, overall event theme & branding, and promotional poster. The city also received praise for its effective use of promotional materials and social media in engaging the public and enhancing the event experience. Notably, the West Palm Beach GreenMarket and Community Events pages took home the top spot for their Facebook presence. All of the city's wins can be seen at the WPB.org for those interested.

For residents and visitors interested in experiencing these award-winning events, the City of West Palm Beach continues to offer them annually, and detailed information can be found on their website or by following their social media pages on Facebook, X, and Instagram.
