The recent spree of graffiti that has tagged buildings across West Palm Beach has led to the arrest of two suspects. According to West Palm Beach Police Department, 28-year-olds Connor Stromoski and Samuel Lawson have been taken into custody in connection to the "SWAMP" tags that have been appearing since February 2025.
Caught on surveillance climbing a secured rooftop on 313 Datura Street, after entering the premises around 11 p.m. on April 29, Stromoski and Lawson were identified. Stromoski, upon his arrest on August 22, was found in possession of various graffiti paraphernalia and illicit substances, leading to charges including burglary and criminal mischief. "SWAMP" was confirmed by Stromoski as his own moniker during questioning, where he admitted his involvement in two of the tagged incidents, as detailed by the City of West Palm Beach website.
Lawson, found by officers on September 6, now faces similar charges related to the graffiti incidents. Details surrounding his arrest were less comprehensive, but charges include burglary of an unoccupied structure and criminal mischief. Individuals who might possess further knowledge about the graffiti are encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers of Palm Beach County at 1-800-458-8477, or tips can be submitted anonymously online.
