As reported on social media by Williamson County Fire/Rescue, a series of fires and storm-related incidents marked a hectic Friday evening for the firefighters of Station 21. According to a Williamson County Fire/Rescue's post, crews were dispatched to a brush fire on Southall Road, where a burning tractor had sparked a 2-acre brush fire.
Station 21 and support teams quickly put out a brush fire on Southall Road after a tractor caught fire and spread to about 2 acres. Their fast action kept the fire from reaching nearby buildings. Later that evening, storms brought more calls for their help.
Lightning struck a home on Old Natchez Trace, causing damage but no fire. Firefighters responded quickly, checked the house thoroughly, and made sure the residents were safe.
Williamson County Fire/Rescue showed their readiness and commitment as an all-volunteer team. With help from other stations, they quickly put out the fire before it spread.
