An early morning dispute in a Hollywood neighborhood led to gunfire, leaving a woman hospitalized, according to police. The Hollywood Police Department responded to a reported shooting on the 2200 block of Madison Street around 5 a.m. yesterday, WSVN reported.
Police said the incident began with an argument that escalated when someone drew a firearm and shot the victim. The woman, whose name has not been released, was taken by paramedics to Memorial Regional Hospital and is in stable condition, as per NBC Miami. Detectives are treating the shooting as an isolated case and believe the victim and the assailant may know each other.
