
A 1-year-old child was found unresponsive after nearly drowning in a bathtub yesterday in North Miami Beach. According to WSVN, the toddler was left briefly unattended and was discovered without a pulse. The parents performed CPR before emergency services arrived, which helped restore a faint pulse.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue and other emergency teams responded to the scene near Northeast Seventh Avenue and 169th Street. A 911 call obtained by WSVN indicated that the caller reported the child was not conscious, not breathing.
The toddler was transported to Jackson North Medical Center, as per a Local 10 report.
The North Miami Beach Police Department, Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, and other agencies are investigating the incident. No further details about the child’s current condition have been released.
