A shooting incident in Bevo Mill on the evening of last Thursday resulted in the death of a 77-year-old man and injuries to a younger man. The deceased, identified as Luke Kimble, was found with fatal gunshot wounds inside a crashed vehicle. A 24-year-old man was also found at the scene with gunshot injuries, the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department reported.
Authorities were notified of the incident around 8:30 p.m. in the 4500 block of Ridgewood. Upon arrival, they secured the area and attended to the victims. The 77-year-old man was declared dead at the scene, while the younger man was transported to the hospital for treatment. His condition is currently being monitored.
Homicide detectives are investigating the incident to determine the motive and identify those involved.
