
A Chicago man has been charged with a felony count of aggravated battery after allegedly discharging a firearm and seriously injuring a 32-year-old male earlier this year. According to the Chicago Police Department's release, 41-year-old Donald Stoute, residing on the 6800 block of N. Sheridan Rd., was arrested by authorities, including the Chicago Police and U.S Marshals Great Lakes Regional Task Force on the morning of October 29, 2025.
The arrest took place precisely at 6:25 a.m. at the same address where Stoute resides. He was identified as the individual responsible for shooting the victim on June 3, 2025, in the 700 block of N. Lake Shore Dr. in Chicago's 1st District. Following the arrest, Stoute was taken into custody and charged.
